Uva Agriculture Development Forum (UADF) successfully conducted a workshop on “Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)” for the Livestock Development Instructors (LDIs) attached to the Department of Animal Production and Health (DAPH) on March 23 & 24, 2021 at the Uva Wellassa University. This endeavor was made a success with the collaboration of Department of Animal Production and Health (Uva Province) and OXFAM in Sri Lanka and the latter provided the financial support.

The inauguration of the workshop was graced by the participation of Prof. Jayantha Lal Ratnasekera, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Saman K. Herath, Dean, Faculty of Animal Science and Export Agriculture and Dr. D.C. Mudannayake, Head, Department of Animal Science. Also representing Department of Animal Production and Health, Dr. Sanath Gamage, Additional Director (Uva Province) and from the OXFAM in Sri Lanka, Dr. K. Kuleswarakumar, Agriculture Production Specialist attended in the inauguration.

The workshop was successfully completed for fifteen Livestock Development Instructors of Uva Province and as resource persons Prof. E.D.N.S. Abeyrathne, Dr. D.C. Mudannayaka, Dr. N.M.N. Nambapana, Dr. M.S. Kurukulasuriya, Dr. R.M.H. Tharangani and Mr. K.K.T.N. Ranaweera rendered their service.
