The Department of Computer Science and Technology of Uva Wellassa University donated a computer laboratory to Alpitiya Nawodya Maha Vidyalaya, Dambagalla, Monaragala on March 6, 2017. This donation was made as a CSR activity of the Department to mark the 10th anniversary of the university.

The Departments’ Alumni, Staff Members of Faculty of Science and Technology along with some other donors contributed in this work.

Elpitiya Nawodya Maha Vidyalaya has more than thousand students but it had only one computer for the past several years to carry out all educational and administrative activities. The new laboratory will help students to conduct their studies under a conducive environment.

The principal and the other staff members of the school had organized a ceremony at the school premises to acknowledge the donation.

Dr. E.P.S.K. Ediriweera, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology/Head, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Academic and Technical Staff Members, and Undergraduates of the Department of Computer Science and Technology participated in this event representing the University.
