Two academicians of Uva Wellassa University won the Best Presenter Awards at the 3rd International Conference on Agriculture and Forestry (ICOAF), 2016 organised by the International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIKM), Sri Lanka and hosted by the Cagayan State University, Philippines held at Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza, Manila, Philippines during June 01 to 03, 2016.
Ms. H.A.S.L. Jayasinghe received the Best Presenter Award for the paper titled “Allelopathic effects of Cyperus rotundus L. and Cynodan dactylon L. on germination and growth responses of lettuce (Lactuca sativa)” at the technical session on Horticulture and Vegetable while Ms. R.M.P.S. Rathnayake won the Best Presenter Award for her paper titled “Kandyan home gardens as sustainable income source” at the technical session on Agricultural Economics Studies.
