Temporary Lecturer positions are available at the Department of Export Agriculture, Faculty of Animal Science and Export Agriculture for immediate recruitment.
01. Temporary Lecturer: Agricultural Farm Financial Management – No. of Vacancies – 01
Qualifications: Candidates should have a degree with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division pass from a recognized University
- BScHons (Export Agriculture) – Majoring in Entrepreneurial Agriculture
- BScHons (Agriculture) related degree – Majoring in Agricultural Economics
Note: Preference will be given to those who have sound knowledge of Farm Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Green Economics, Environmental Valuation, Farm Accountancy; and minimum of one year experience as a Temporary Lecturer or Demonstrator.
02. Temporary Lecturer: Agricultural Marketing – No. of Vacancies – 01
Qualifications: Candidates should have a degree with a First-Class or Second-Class Upper Division pass from a recognized University.
- BScHons (Export Agriculture) – Majoring in Entrepreneurial Agriculture
- BScHons (Agriculture) related degree – Majoring in Agricultural Marketing and Agri-business Management
Note: Preference will be given to those who have sound knowledge of Agricultural Marketing and Price Analysis, Agri-business Management, Export Import Procedures, Strategic Management, International Marketing; and minimum of one year experience as a Temporary Lecturer or Demonstrator.
Temporary Lecturer: Tea Cultivation, Tea Processing, Tea New product development and value addition – No. of Vacancies – 02
Qualifications: Candidates should have a degree with a First-Class or Second-Class Upper Division pass from a recognized University.
- BScHons (Tea Technology and Value Addition)
Note: Preference will be given to those who have sound knowledge of Tea Cultivation and Management, Tea Processing Technology & new product development, Tea and Health, Spice and Beverage Crop Production and Value Addition, Soil and Water Conservation Technology, Land Reclamation and Soil Conservation Techniques, Plantation Crop Production & Crop Diversification; and minimum of one year experience as a Temporary Lecturer or Demonstrator.
Mode of Selection
The Walk-in Interview will be conducted on March 28, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. onwards at the Department of Export Agriculture, Faculty of Animal Science and Export Agriculture, Uva Wellassa University, Badulla. The following documents with copies are required to be produced at the interview.
- National Identity Card and Birth Certificate
- All relevant academic certificates (Originals and copies)
- Curriculum Vitae and two Reference Letters
- Research publications (if any)/ Research project dissertation
- Any other certificates/awards etc.
