Culinary Art Food Expo 2015, which was held from July 24 to 26, 2015 at the BMICH, Colombo, was the Culinary Art Competition and exhibition organized by the Chefs Guild of Sri Lanka for the 16th time with the theme of ‘From Shelf to the Table’. This year’s Culinary Art Competition has received over 2500 entries. Sunquick Mocktail Competition was one of the segments sponsored by Sunquick partnering with the Chefs’ Guild of Lanka. The contestants had to prepare two innovative mocktails within seven minutes and they had to come up with innovative recipes. The competition was judged by an International Panel of Certified Judges of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS). Ms. Malithi Shashiprabha Neluhena (UWU/HTE/11/009), undergraduate of Hospitality, Tourism, and Events Management Degree Programme, won the bronze medal at this event, competing under the ‘Mocktail’ category representing TajSamudra Hotel, which is her Industrial Training placement.
