The Uva Wellassa University has one of the largest computer laboratory in the country. Currently there are over 300 personal computers available in three labs. However, labs are equipped with state of art computer network with provision for above 500 computers. All the students in the University have access to a PC in this fully equipped computer centers.
In addition, in order to expand the access for PC and IT facilities, another fully fledged computer centre has been established.
Further, there are several WiFi hotspots (zones) have been configured in order to provide the high-speed internet facility for all the undergraduates.
The main Network Operating center connecting all the buildings with fiber optics and 10Mbps fiber optic connecting with Lanka Academic and Research Network (LEARN) IP/VPN is also located inside the computer lab. The Network Operating center also houses key servers including Mail, Web and FTP of Uva Wellassa University.

In addition, the Computer Center also houses the Wireless links which provide connectivity for building which are connected through fiber.
