On 19th November 2024, a senior management delegation from
O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), India, led by
Dr. Rahul Bhandari, Assistant Professor and Joint Director & Head of the
Office of Institutional Advancement & Strategic Global Engagement (IASGE), along with
Assistant Professor Gaurav Shukla, Director of the Career Services Department,
visited Uva Wellassa University (UWU), Sri Lanka.

The delegation engaged in a productive meeting with
Senior Professor Kolitha Wijesekara, Vice Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University,
alongside other senior members, including:

• Dr. Chandima Ranawana (Director/ICC-UWU)
• Dr. Rasanga Samaraweera (Director, Postgraduate Unit)
• Mr. Dhananjaya Nawarathna (Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Management)
• Mr. Jagath Kulathilaka (Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Management)

Discussions focused on JGU’s fully-funded Fellowship Program designed for scholars and faculty, avenues for collaborative research, student exposure visits, and exploring other potential future collaborations between the two institutions.

The meeting was highly fruitful, paving the way for stronger academic partnerships and mutual growth.
