The International Collaboration Center of Uva Wellassa University recently hosted a Fulbright/EducationUSA Awareness Session on October 21, 2024, virtually via Zoom. The session targeted the university’s fourth-year students, recent graduates, and interested staff members.

Ms. Sabitha George, a Student Adviser from Education/USA under the United States-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission (US-SLFC), led the session. Her presentation provided a wealth of information on pursuing higher education in the United States. Key topics included U.S. university admission requirements, tips for university selection, application processes, standardized testing, and various scholarship opportunities available to international students.
