The opening ceremony of the New Building of the Faculty of Technological Studies of the Uva Wellassa University will take place on 28th December 2021 at 3.00 pm, with the participation of Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Education; Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Labour; Prof. Kapila C.K. Perera, Secretary to the Ministry of Education;  Professor Jayantha Lal Ratnasekera, Vice- Chancellor of the Uva Wellassa University; Professor Kolitha B. Wijesekara, The Dean of the Faculty of Technological Studies, and a number of invited dignitaries.

The new building consists of four well-equipped state-of-the-art laboratories, three lecture halls, and a lecture theater, undoubtedly creating a pleasant and conducive learning experience for more than 850 enrolled undergraduates.
