‘Aurora 2019′-The Annual Food Festival organized by Department of Animal Science-was held successfully for the 7th time on 28th October 2019 at the university premises. The event is annually organized with the intention of raising funds to the Animal Science Society and Aqua Club to assist Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. Aurora 2019 was hosted by third year students of the Department of Animal Science under the guidance of Dr. E.D.N.S. Abeyrathne. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. J. L. Ratnasekera, Vice Chancellor of the University and Prof. S.C. Jayamanne, Dean, Faculty of Animal Science and Export Agriculture as the chief guests along with the academic, administrative and non-academic staff members and students of the University. The spectacular bonfire was undoubtedly a stunning experience for everyone. The Music Circle of the University charmed the event with dashing music and it was obvious that the crowd enjoyed every bit of it. All in all, it was a memorable evening for mother UWU.
