Journal of Technology and Value Addition (JTVA) of Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka was ceremonially launched on April 04, 2019 at the Board Room of Senate Building of the University with the participation of the Vice Chancellor and other Invited Guests.
The programme was inaugurated at 10.00 a.m. by lighting the oil lamp respecting the traditional norms. Prof. S.C. Jayamanne, Editor-in-Chief of JTVA, welcomed the all invitees to the ceremony and gave an introduction about the JTVA. Thereafter, Prof. Jayantha Lal Ratnasekara, the Vice Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University making the keynote speech highlighted the Significance of the Research and wished that JTVA will pave way to dissemination of research findings to the community.
The maiden copy of the JTVA was officially offered to the Vice Chancellor by the Prof. S.C. Jayamanne, Editor-in-Chief of JTVA. Copies of the same were presented to Editor-in-Chief of JTVA, Co-Editor-in-Chief of JTVA ,Chairman of the Research Committee, all Deans, Registrar, Librarian and Bursar by the Vice Chancellor.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. K.B. Wijesekara, Co-Editor-in-Chief of JTVA delivered the ‘Vote of Thanks’ and the ceremony was successfully concluded as a remarkable milestone of the Uva Wellassa University.
